At the Verona Fair 56 wineries with UmbriaTop: tastings, focus and insights on the wine excellence of the Umbrian territory

The prestigious international wine fair, Vinitaly 2025, will once again see the participation of UmbriaTop, the collective brand representing the finest wineries of Umbria. With a rich winemaking heritage and a strong identity rooted in tradition and innovation, Umbria’s producers are set to showcase the excellence of their wines to an international audience of professionals, buyers, and enthusiasts, at the Verona Fair from 6TH to 9TH April.
UmbriaTop’s presence at Vinitaly is a strategic action to highlight the quality and distinctiveness of Umbrian wines, reinforcing their position in both national and international markets. Massimo Sepiacci, President of UmbriaTop, emphasized the importance of this participation, stating: “Vinitaly represents an unmissable opportunity for our wineries to tell their stories, share their passion, and affirm the exceptional quality of Umbrian wines. We are proud to bring the essence of our land to an international audience and strengthen the presence of Umbria in the global wine market.”
The “ROOTS” concept will guide along the 1000 square meters that will contribute to the valorization of the “Roots”, a theme that will be the common thread of all the events of the stand, emphasizing the link between history, territory and future prospects. “The protagonists,” explains Gioia Bacoccoli, coordinator of Umbria Top, “will be themes such as biodiversity, production techniques, historical-archaeological traces linked to the wine production of which the Green Heart is very rich and all to be valorized. This interpretation key could represent a new method of mapping the regional excellences and inviting to Umbria in a new spirit of discovery.”
Throughout the fair, UmbriaTop will organize exclusive tastings and masterclasses, allowing participants to deepen their knowledge of the region’s winemaking tradition. These initiatives aim to enhance the appreciation of Umbria’s diverse wine portfolio, fostering connections with industry professionals and expanding commercial opportunities beyond Italian borders.
The spaces of the Umbria Top events area (Pavilion 2 – from A9 to F9) – also this year are developed on two levels that act as inclusive containers for institutions, bodies, testimonials that contribute with their activities to promote and enhance the uniqueness of the territory: Department of the PNRR, agricultural and agri-food policies, mountains and internal areas, parks and lakes, tourism and sport, Chamber of Commerce of Umbria and Promocamera Umbria, Assogal Umbria – with its 5 Gal, 3A Parco Tecnologico Agroalimentare dell’Umbria.
As part of the event’s program, on Sunday april 6th at 3 pm, there will be a special presentation of the book “Radici”, an exploration of the deep connection between Umbria’s land, culture, and winemaking tradition. This gathering will provide a moment of reflection and celebration, bringing together experts and enthusiasts to discuss the roots and future of Umbrian wine.
The Umbria Top initiatives are included in the initiatives to promote certified Umbrian products promoted by the Umbria Top Wines Cooperative as part of the CSR Umbria 2023-2027 measure – intervention SRG10 “Promotion of quality products”.
