If you could plan a one-day itinerary for guests looking to explore your city, where would you send them?
To start the day, guests can enjoy a sunrise yoga session at our Yoga Mandala or a floating breakfast in their private suites and villas. Then, they can explore Klungkung’s rich cultural heritage, beginning with:
- Goa Lawah Temple – A sacred temple set within a cave, home to thousands of bats.
- Puputan Klungkung Monument – A landmark honoring Bali’s history of resistance and bravery.
- Kerta Gosa – A beautifully preserved royal complex from 1686, showcasing intricate Balinese architecture.
- Kamasan Tourism Village – A UNESCO-recognized heritage site known for its traditional Balinese paintings.
- Klungkung Art Market – A vibrant local market where guests can shop for handcrafted Balinese souvenirs.

How will travel trends change in 2025?
Travelers are seeking more meaningful, immersive experiences rather than quick getaways. Long-stay guests will prioritize cultural exploration, wellness, and sustainability. In terms of accommodation, flexibility and hassle-free booking options will be more important than ever.
Was a career in hospitality something you always dreamt of? What advice would you give aspiring hoteliers?
Absolutely! Hospitality has always been my passion. My advice to aspiring hoteliers is simple: trust the process and follow your passion. Growth takes time, so always be open to learning, embrace challenges, and never stop evolving.
Which cities are your favorites for: food, history and fashion?
- Food: Bandung, West Java, Indonesia – a paradise for culinary enthusiasts.
- History: Kyoto, Japan – a city where tradition and culture are beautifully preserved.
- Fashion: I’m not particularly into fashion.
You’ve worked in several cities. Which is your favorite for work and play?
Bali. It’s not just a workplace but a place where I feel deeply connected—both professionally and personally. Bali is my life!
When are you happiest?
When I can develop and mentor people, share my knowledge, and see the next generation of hospitality professionals grow. Also, nothing brings me more joy than spending time with my daughter.
What is the most challenging aspect of your work?
While I love my role, challenges still exist—particularly as a female leader in the hospitality industry. Gender bias and stereotypes are still present, but I’ve embraced these challenges as opportunities for change. Being the first female chair of the Bali Hotels Association (2022-2023) was both a milestone and a learning experience, proving that leadership has no gender.
